Nico de Rooij is Professor and Director of EPFL's Institute of Microengineering (EPFL IMT) as well as Head of the Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems Laboratory SAMLAB.
He is also a member of the editorial boards for the journals Sensors and Actuators, Sensors and Materials and the IEEE Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems.
His research activities include micro-fabricated sensors, actuators, and microsystems.
