The control and monitoring of physiological parameters by non-invasive methods offers new perspectives in the fields of leisure and sport. CSEM, the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology, recognized early on the potential of a device that would enable the user to make progress and improve his sports training while listening to his favorite music. This is how the Pulsear sensor, designed to measure the heart-beat and invisibly integrated in stereo headphones, was created.
