Nanobiotechnology is a new interdisciplinary discipline that is expected to shape our future in various application areas. The NanoBio 2010 is the third event of a so far highly successful biannual conference series that started in Tokyo in 2006 followed by Soul in 2008. The fact that Switzerland has the chance to host this prestigious event in 2010 is largely thanks to the strong position of Swiss academic institutions and companies in this arena.

40 internationally renowned invited speakers, 35 contributed talks, and over 400 poster presentations will guarantee the high scientific quality of the conference for the more than 600 participants from academia and industry.

Special attention was given to gender balance and we expect 30-40% female participants. The conference will also be very attractive to substantial number of Swiss (and foreign) industries and we expect ca. 10-15 exhibitors. The participation of students and young investigators is also heavily supported and encouraged via various prices and extended poster sessions.

We are working hard to make NanoBio 2010 a successful networking event where scientists, engineers, and students can exchange and share their ideas in an open and friendly atmosphere further increasing the reputation of Switzerland in the area of nanobiotechnology.
