To register, please send an email to pierrette.paulou@epfl.ch The activities foreseen in this program shall provide in-depth education in plasmonics, the optics of specific metallic nanostructures, an extremely dynamic field of research with applications in signal processing and optical biosensing.
The topics covered by the school include both fundamental principles of optics and detailed applications in information processing and optical sensing. Thanks to the contributions from renowned teachers coming from all Europe, still in the early stage of their scientific career (e.g. assistant and junior professors), we hope to give this summer school a very dynamic flavor.
Synergies with the EPFL Doctoral Program in Photonics, the NCCR Quantum Photonics, and the COST Action MP0803 on plasmonics, will enable a broad audience, covering a large range of applications.
